CPH:DOX invites filmmakers around the world to submit their documentary films to the 7th Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival, running November 6 - 15 2009 in Copenhagen, Denmark. CPH:DOX 2009 presents 170 films, five international competition programs, a five day professional seminar, a digital screening market, DOX:MARKET, and the DISTRIBUTION:FORUM.

Films can be selected for the CPH:DOX Award, the New Vision Award, the Amnesty Award, the Sound & Vision Award, The Danish Dox Award and non-competitive thematic programmes. The festival also presents a cross media platform with visual art exhibitions, live performances etc. Projects aiming to expand the boundaries of documentary are therefore also welcome.

DOX:FORUM: Deadline for project submission: 4th of September 2009.

DOX:FORUM: Running in conjunction with CPH:DOX and DOX:MARKET the DISTRIBUTION FORUM has been initiated to enhance international distribution possibilities for independent documentary filmmakers and to facilitate early pick-up possibilities for market players.

With an exclusive selection of new documentary projects, a full day of seminars with international market experts debating current distribution issues, and a participant lists counting major international sales agents, buyers, distributors, online platforms, festivals and markets, the DISTRIBUTION FORUM offers an excellent opportunity to position new documentary projects in the marketplace. The DISTRIBUTION FORUM is open to creative, feature length documentary projects with international distribution potential. DOX:FORUM is a pitch forum where high quality, artistic documentary films in post-production or films recently completed which have not yet premiered, is being pitched to a panel of major international distributors, sales agents, festival directors, online platforms museum curators and others.
